The meeting
The biggest bit of advice I can give any bride is to do some homework before you have your initial flower consultation. There is so going to be a lot of decisions to be made and it will probably be overwhelming. Browse through some magazines or the internet and get some idea of what you like. Just brainstorm. Look for styles of bouquets or centerpieces you like. Pick some colors you prefer even if you get paint chip samples. Bring those ideas to the meeting (don’t worry about the names of the flowers, we have that under control).
We will inform you of the flowers and colors that will look great together, which flowers hold up best throughout the day, and flowers that are seasonal. But remember we do not always have the actual flowers in house. We do have portfolios of previous work we have designed and books and pictures of flowers.
Prepare to spend at least one hour at the initial consultation. We never charge for any of our appointments, nor do we have time limits. We know this is a big decision and we will not rush you out the door. Every meeting is a private, patient, and professional.
What does it cost?
Probably our number one question everyone asks is “How much do wedding flowers cost?” It all depends. How many people are in the bridal party? Is there going to be any flowers needed for the ceremony. How many and what styles of centerpieces do you wish. It also depends on which flowers you going to be designed with. What styles of designs do you like. There is so many factures that play into the cost of wedding flowers. When coming up with a budget for your wedding facture in at least 10- 12% for flowers. You facture in too low of an amount and you get freaked out by how much flowers really cost you are going to be disappointed.
